As the greenhouse warms, the wax-powered mechanism expands and gradually opens the roof window. When temperatures fall, it contracts and closes the window again—helping protect plants from excess heat without electricity, batteries, or daily manual adjustment.

How it works

The opener uses temperature-responsive wax-cylinder technology. As the air inside the greenhouse becomes warmer, the mechanism lifts the roof vent. As conditions cool, it lowers the vent toward the closed position.

The opening amount adjusts gradually according to temperature rather than operating as a simple on-or-off mechanism.

This opener is intended for Nordwood roof windows and should not be assumed compatible with Best-Selling Polycarbonate or Classic Arch greenhouse vents.
